Older students are more motivated to work above grade level when given autonomy. By offering students in middle and high grades elective credit for doing independent projects, administrators and teachers will see more students bring their talents to the classroom. This session will show you how to set up and run an elective class with kids ages 12 to 18 in the same room. You will be surprised at who wants in and what kids can do when given the space, technology, and time to design their own learning.
